Late summer news

September 2008

After a very cool and wet summer hopefully the "indian Summer" will arrive soon and give some good weather before winter.

The fields around the barn have only just been harvested and although trhe yields have been good the drying costs and the falling grain market has not helped the local farmers who were hoping for a bumper 2008 harvest.

Logs are being sawn and split and stored for those freezing winter days to make the barn warm and cosy for our guests
