Summer 2010

The long cold winter is a distant memory and although we have had a long cold spring it appears summer is finally here.

The meadows look great with the wild flowers looking so different from normal due to the dry winter-spring. We have more bee orchids than normal and have even found a butterfly orchid, the first found here for 20 years. The downside appears that there may not be a very good hay crop due to the lack of early rain.

The miniature shetlands have produced a good crop of foals and there are 10 youngsters in the meadow.

So if you are planning a wedding, visiting friends or just want to get away from it all for a weekend in the glorious Hertfordshire countryside, phone or  E-Mail us to make the arrangements for your stay at
